"The food tastes better than it smells, and it smells amazing as soon as you walk up. Best Brisket in Ontario. Smoked beans with thick cuts of bacon and perfectly sweet pineapple. This is the very definition of hidden gem. Too happy to have found this place. Will return. Regularly."

"Fell in love with this place the first time I tried it. Came highly recommended from friends and family! If you're looking for fantastic authentic Barbecue Beatties is hands down my favorite in the area! the smells alone are mouthwatering!! Highly recommended the Rib Sandwich! "Hands down the BEST BBQ we have ever had !! The brisket is melt in your mouth, the ribs are fall of the bone, the beans and slaw are out of this world ! We travel South quite a bit, and this BBQ is better than almost every place we have been. A true hidden Gem, and Family owned and Family run....... A DEFINITE FIVE STAR, and I HIGHLY recommend !!"

"With very little bbq restaurants in the Windsor Essex are, we came across Beattie's sign while driving to Amherstburg. I'm glad we made the stop! This was authentic slow cooked bbq! Ribs were fall off the bone, it had great smoke flavours and the bbq sauce was great. The brisket was amazing, so much flavour, tender and super juicy. We had the pleasure of meeting Jim the pitmaster. He was great had some amazing stories about his bbq experience. Definitely will be visiting again!"

"Super nice people. Got the rack of ribs, brisket dinner w/ slaw and beans. Beans were tomato based with beans. Nice sweetness and good texture (not mushy). Brisket (fatty) was delicious and tender. Fork-tender and flavourful bark. Ribs were sliced and tossed in sauce. Beauty presentation and flavour. Will return to try the turkey legs and desserts."
